My son asked for the Turtle Beach X-41 for Christmas. They sold new for around $140 which I didn't want to spend. I found this set of refurbished ones. I was a little scared about them working correctly, but they were $50 cheaper. They have been wonderful, and my son loves them!

This headset is amazing. it does everything it is supposed to do alond with some other things i didnt know of. it arrived quickly in very nice packaging. the setup was very easy, only two cables out the back of the reciever into xbox and then you pop in the batteries and your done. if you are using the older verison of the xbox then you will need the av cable adapter (you can find out how it all works on the turtle beach website) but if your using the new type xbox then you plug in the optic cable into optic port and the usb to, well anything that supports power with a usb port. (ex: computer, wall converter, xbox, etc.) The headset quality is very good, made out of plastic but very sturdy and it wont break very easly. the sound quality is AMAZING, i have no problems with it. i play COD MW3 with this and its like your actually in the game. you can hear if people are near you, and with the dolby surround sound processer built in you can actually pinpoint where the person is. this headset isnt built only for first person shooters though, i played need for speed the run and i got the upper edge on people by being able to know where the people are driving behind me. the sound quality and build quality is great, and the price here is the best you can find. it is a perfect buy.
